Staff Bios

Amanda Lavorini

Amanda Lavorini  graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in 2004. She received the Dean's Valedictorian Award and then she was inducted into Phi Kappa Phi society. Amanda is our Micro Endodontic Specialist, she is poised, gentle, extremely skilled in doing root canals and knows how  to make you feel comfortable. She will spend time with you and help you to understand  as to why you need this treatment. We use the most current equipment including her endodontic microscope for maximum magnification and illumination, which allows her to diagnose an treat patients with the highest level of accuracy!

James Choi

James (Jimmy) Choi is a great periodontal specialist! He is a graduate of UC Berkeley (GO BEARS) and completed his residency at UCSF. He is an excellent periodontal (gum) specialist and is fantastic at placing implants. He is also ethical, honest, friendly, and he is an impressive asset to our office.

Betty

Betty has been a hygienist for over 40 years and has been here for almost 25 years. She is an efficient, effective, and excellent hygienist. Her patients love her and are always very pleased with her work. She is down to earth, honest, pleasant, and it definitely shows in her work.

Karen

Karen is the head assistant and a licensed RDAEF. She has been with our office for over 23 years. She came in as an RDA but with her innovative and immaculate skills, she quickly advanced to become a licensed RDAEF (RDA+ Extra Functions). Karen is extremely knowledgeable about dentistry and her work is picture perfect.

Front Office Staff

Angie and Thear, man the front desk therefore; they play a very important role in our office. They are the first point of contact when you arrive and the last when you depart. They are funny, lovable, entertaining, and they belong all to us. They keep track of all the patients that come in for the days appointments and they also keep track of employees to so we don't get lost in the hustle and bustle too. Without the front office team we wouldn't know what to do.

Lesley

Lesley is our insurance specialist and biller she has graced us with her presence for the past 35 years. She knows everything there is to know about billing and insurance companies. She is one of the key players when it comes to insurance coordination and helping patients get the most out of the insurance companies. She is charming, kind, honest, and clever.
